ABC News Did a Bad Tweet

How about the accompanying story? It leads off this way:
As Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were shooting at a pit bull that was charging at them, a 17-year-old boy was apparently struck in the chest by one of the bullets and died, the sheriff’s office said.
“Killed by bullet.” “Struck in the chest by one of the bullets.” It’s a tragedy what these bullets can get up to after they’re fired. Apparently, “LA county deputies kill California teen while firing at a pit bull” was not available as a formulation of words. To hear ABC News tell it, the police officers who began shooting in an area where an innocent boy was in their line of fire were at the mercy of the bullets they fired, and not the other way around.
