Arnold's Advice for Congress

Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming to Washington today.

The “Governator” is appearing with Democratic senators to talk about after-school programs. But we think Arnold might have some advice for Congress, which suffers from deep partisan divisions and record-low approval ratings.

Here’s some of his pearls of wisdom from his acting career:

Arnold on the government shutdown: “Chill!”

Arnold on Obamacare: “It’s not a tooomah!”

Arnold on congressional hearings: “I’m going to ask you a bunch of questions, and I want to have them answered immediately.”

Arnold on constituent mail: “Drop dead.” “I don’t do requests.”

Arnold on government spending: “Hey, are you going to pay for that?” “Talk to the hand.”

Arnold on elections: “I’m not into politics, I’m into survival.”

Arnold on immigration reform: “Hasta la vista, baby”

Arnold on terms limits: “You’re fired.”

Arnold on freshmen: “Who the hell are you?”

Arnold on whipping votes: “>“You kids are soft. You lack discipline!”

Arnold on recess: “I need a vacation.”

Arnold on climate change: “What killed the dinosaurs? The ice age!”

Arnold on nepotism “Who is your daddy and what does he do?”

Don’t worry. Just in case Congress didn’t get the message, Arnold says: “I’ll be back.”
