Ben Carson continues to be Donald Trump's worst campaigner

Former GOP presidential wannabe Dr. Ben Carson has been making the media rounds lately to talk up Donald Trump, the man he somewhat surprisingly endorsed for president.

It has not gone smoothly. Carson has admitted that Trump—whom he is supposed to be boosting for president, remember—has “some major defects.” He has openly mused on the possibility that Donald Trump could be a disaster, allowing that even if he is a disaster, “we’re only looking at four years.” Comforting!

And now, there’s this: During an interview with CNN anchor John Berman, Carson said this, in defense of Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who has been charged with assaulting reporter Michelle Fields:
