Best of Pitchfork 2014: Kendrick Lamar, St. Vincent and More

It’s not easy to find a music festival that offers great music, a diverse crowd and free kale juice. All three could be found at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, which came to a close on Sunday night with a performance by Kendrick Lamar. The event proved to be a rare gem and welcome alternative to the Coachellas and Lollapaloozas of the world.

The festival, now in it’s 9th year, featured performances from 43 acts including spanning all genres of music. If you didn’t make it to Chicago’s Union Park this time around, here’s what you missed:

Giorgio Moroder playing “What A Feeling” from Flashdance

Kendrick Lamar rocking with a full rock band

St. Vincent’s headbanging

Sky Ferreira roaming around

Danny Brown’s party raps

Pusha T being 30 minutes late

The Missed Connections Wall

Grimes’ glitter and purple hair

…and finally: People getting intimate during FKA twigs
