Did Trump Just Try to Make a Buck from the Russia Probe?
According to a financial disclosure released Friday by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, President Donald Trump reported assets of at least $1.4 billion and an income of at least $600 million in 2016-17, Politico reported. His golf courses alone generated nearly $300 million in income, according to CNN Money. But like everything involving Trump and those around him, enough is never enough.
Now Trump appears to be raising funds on Facebook for his campaign by claiming that investigations into his administration’s links to Russia and that country’s meddling in the 2016 presidential elections are “the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history.”
CNN KFILE reporter Andrew Kaczynski spotted what appears to be a new sponsored Facebook post on the president’s profile urging supporters to “Donate BIG today!”
The ad has a “donate” button that links to donaldjtrump.com, the Trump campaign website, where you can “learn more about the creation of the Make America Great Again hat,” buy a bunch of Trump merchandise, or just give him all of your money.
