Does Amy Schumer regret calling Donald Trump an 'orange, sexual-assaulting' monster? Not so much!
Two days after a couple hundred audience members stormed out of an Amy Schumer show in Tampa over some entirely accurate Donald Trump jokes in her set, the comedian addressed the mass exodus in an open letter to the Florida city.
“Dearest Tampa, I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now,” Schumer read aloud from the letter onstage at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, Us Weekly reports. “I shouldn’t have said that he was an orange, sexually-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. Shouldn’t have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexually-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. Ever again.”
In case you Don’t Get The Reference, the Republican presidential nominee—who will debate Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton tonight—has been accused of rape and other forms of attempted sexual assault by a number of women over the years. Also, he started Trump University, which was a for-profit scam. Also, he is orange.
“Honestly, I am so grateful you’re all here, and I was grateful for everyone in the audience that night—even the people that left,” Schumer told her New York crowd in closing. “I look forward to putting this all behind us in a couple weeks when Hillary Clinton is our motherfucking president!”
