Donald Trump Calls Terrorists 'Evil Losers' After Manchester Concert Bombing Leaves 22 Dead

Welcome to WHAT NOW, a morning round-up of the news/fresh horrors that await you today.

After a bomb ripped through an Ariana Grande concert at a 21,000-seat arena in Manchester, England, on Tuesday night—leaving 22 people dead—President Trump offered his condolences and decried the “evil losers” who carry out terror attacks.

“So many young, beautiful, innocent people, living and enjoying their lives, murdered by evil losers in life,” Trump said during a joint press conference in Bethlehem with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. “I won’t call them monsters, because they would like that term. They would think that’s a great name. What I will call them, from now on, is losers, because that’s what they are.”

He continued: “They’re losers, and we’ll have more of them. But they’re losers, just remember that.”

In a televised address to the nation after the attack, the deadliest the U.K. has seen since 2005, Prime Minister Theresa May said: “This attack stands out for its appalling, sickening cowardice, deliberately targeting innocent, defenseless children and young people who should have been enjoying one of the most memorable nights of their lives.”

The first victim of the suicide bombing has been identified by Georgina Callander, who was an 18-year-old student at Runshaw College, according to The Guardian.
