Donald Trump just got dumped by NBC

NBC has cut ties with Donald Trump over the gross remarks he made about Mexican immigrants, making it the second television network to do so in the past week.

“Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCU is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump,” NBC wrote in a statement tweeted, in part, by CNN’s Brian Stelter.

Variety confirmed the news, adding that the pageants produced by Trump’s Miss Universe Organization will no longer air on NBC. That includes the Miss USA pageant, which was originally slated for Jul. 12.

The network has also permanently removed the “traditional marriage” enthusiast as host of The Celebrity Apprentice — although, Variety notes, he had already opted out of season 15 in order to focus on his recently announced presidential campaign.

This whole mess started when Trump uttered the following about Mexico and Mexican immigrants: “They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems [to] us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

In response, Spanish-language channel Univision (a parent company of Fusion, along with ABC) announced that they were ending their business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization and all future projects involving Trump. The Donald countered with more nonsense…

…and a lifetime ban on Univision employees from using his Miami golf course.

Trump has yet to take his friend Geraldo Rivera’s advice and apologize for his offensive comments.

UPDATE: Donald Trump has posted a statement about the NBC situation on Instagram. He calls the network “weak,” “foolish,” and “politically incorrect,” and says that he “stands by his statements on illegal immigration.”

Bad at filling out bios seeks same.
