Donald Trump just held a press conference with women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault
Less than two hours before Sunday night’s presidential debate, Donald Trump had a brief press conference at which four women who have accused one or both of the Clintons of hurting them gave Trump their ringing endorsements.
Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, and Kathleen Willey have all accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault or harassment, and Kathy Shelton has accused Hillary Clinton of successfully negotiating down the prison sentence of the man who raped her as a child.
Though Trump has repeatedly referred to Bill Clinton as an abuser of women, he has never before aligned himself with his accusers so . In the aftermath of his vulgar comments about “grabbing” women “by the pussy” without their consent, he’s now doubling down on this personal line of attack. It’s all but guaranteed he will bring up the claims the women have against the Clintons up to Hillary at the debate tonight.
Trump also did not mention that, in 1998, he attacked Bill Clinton’s accusers, saying, “I don’t necessarily agree with his victims. His victims are terrible. He is really a victim himself.”
Many observers reacted to Trump’s press conference with open disgust.
