Donald Trump to Jorge Ramos: 'I have a bigger heart than you do'

After getting kicked out of a press conference being held by Donald Trump earlier Tuesday evening, Fusion and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos returned, and the two engaged in nearly five minutes of dialogue concerning immigration.

Trump welcomed Ramos in, saying, “Good to have you back.” Ramos pressed Trump on issues of immigration for children, saying, “You cannot deny citizenship to the children.”

“Why do you say that?” Trump replied. “A lot of people think that if you come and you’re on the other side of the border—and I’m not talking about Mexico—somebody on the other side of the border, a woman is getting ready to have a baby, she crosses the border for one day, all of the sudden, for the next 80 years, hopefully longer, we have to take care of the people.”

At one point, Trump told Ramos, “I have a bigger heart than you do.”

Ramos also said that building a border would be “futile” because of the large number of undocumented immigrants travel to the U.S. by plane, Trump responded by saying, “I don’t believe it.”

“How are you going to deport 11 million?” Mr. Ramos asked.

“Very humanely,” Mr. Trump replied.

And after Ramos leaned on Trump for specifics, the Republican presidential candidate replied,  “I’ve given you specifics!”
