Donald Trump's bizarre Twitter ad focuses on applause at RNC
Lyndon Johnson had the “Daisy” ad. Ronald Reagan had “Morning in America.” Hillary Clinton in 2008 had the “3 a.m. phone call.”
Donald Trump now has a bizarre 28-second ad on Twitter about applause.
On Saturday night (political reporters must have been thrilled about that), Trump posted the ad to his Twitter account that he spoke for 75 minutes at the Republican National Convention, and 33% of that time was applause (the stat is put on the screen with Trump saying “I will fight for you” without sound).
Watch the ad for yourself:
It’s not confusing Morocco for Mexico, but the math is wrong: 24 minutes is 32% of his speaking time.
Meanwhile, Clinton released a more traditional ad last week that showed all the times Trump has praised her.
