Donald Trump's response to Orlando was a disgusting humblebrag

Donald Trump’s response to the horrific mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, was muted at first, at least by his standards:

Until it wasn’t:

The mass shooting in Orlando was the deadliest in American history. Trump’s instinct was to use it for Islamophobic demagoguery, then some less-than-subtle self-aggrandizement. He is a major-party candidate for the presidency. What else is there to say?

Between his first two tweets about Orlando, he also managed to get in an unrelated jab at Hillary Clinton over an attack ad he didn’t care for.
