Ebola makes its debut on list of biggest problems facing America
Ebola made its debut on the list of top 10 issues Americans consider to be the most pressing. At the same time, the number of Americans who rank immigration as a top problem has dropped, according to a Gallup poll released Tuesday.
The polling was conducted between Oct. 12-15, when Ebola panic was at full pitch following the death of the first person diagnosed with the disease in the US. Ebola makes its debut mid-list; the disease is still outranked by several other issues that are perceived as more pressing, including the economy, dissatisfaction with the government, and unemployment.
Ebola did, however, outrank several other issues that have made headlines in recent months, including race relations, education, and the situation in Iraq.
