Florida man: ‘I’m really getting pulled over by a tank right now?’

After spotting a military vehicle on patrol through his neighborhood this weekend, Lucas Jewell of Gainesville, Florida, did what so many people might feel like doing: he flicked them off.

A few moments later, he was pulled over by that vehicle, which appears to be a Lenco Bearcat, an armored personnel carrier, usually intended for military use.

“I’m really getting pulled over by a tank right now?” Jewell asks an officer, who is fully dressed in military fatigues, in a video of the incident released by alternative news and opinion site Truth Out.

“Now Mr. Jewell, the reason you are being stopped is for improper hand signal,” the officer, yet to be identified, tells Jewell. He also says that the woman who was riding passenger appeared to be giving Jewell “fellatio.”

Truth Voice says the incident happened on Saturday with members of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office police force. Jewell recorded the entire incident.

A call to the Alachua County Sheriff’s office for more information about the case, and about the use of the armored vehicle for a routine traffic stop was not immediately returned on Monday morning.

Interestingly, one of the officers on the scene asked Jewell not to point the camera at him “because there are firearms that are made like that.”

The stop lasted about 30 minutes, reported Truth Voice, which cut the video down to about 10 minutes. And in the end, Jewell was let off with a warning about the “improper use of a hand signal.” Nothing came of the allegation that anyone was getting or giving “fellatio.”
