Graffiti for Good: Mastectomy Awareness in Brazil

A new wave of graffiti art is taking over the streets of Brazil. The AC Camargo Cancer Center is using graffiti to share a different type of message. This time it’s about boobs.

Working with the JWT agency, they contracted street artists to reclaim women’s breasts, painting one side of the body to show the ravages of a mastectomy, and a different type of beauty.

This breast cancer awareness campaign allows people to see cancer, mastectomies, and its aftermath through a unique artistic lens, and it’s strikingly pretty.. and powerful.
