Here's Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a Pathetic Nutshell

Here’s a perfect little encapsulation of the pathetic straitjacket in which White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has enthusiastically chosen to strap herself.

Speaking with Bloomberg News in an interview published Thursday night, President Donald Trump continued to insist that his handling of John McCain’s death had been absolutely tip-top, saying that he’d done everything perfectly.

Then, Trump—whose antipathy toward McCain was for weird, pathological reasons and not any of the good ones someone might have for not liking the late senator—was asked whether the Arizona Republican would have been a better president than Barack Obama.

Per Bloomberg:

Trump declined to say, even as his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, stared at him.
“I don’t want to comment on it,” he said. “I have a very strong opinion, all right.”
Sanders, he joked, was “having a nervous breakdown” over his response. “Maybe I’ll give you that answer some day later.”

A hilarious joke!

Perhaps Trump is yukking it up because he knows (as do we all) that no matter what he does or doesn’t say, Sanders will nevertheless stick with her tried and true strategy of remaining silent (save for a reproachful glare) and then plowing ahead as if everything is just fine. It’s fine!
