How Dodger Stadium Displaced a Community
More than 50 years ago, Los Angeles built Dodger Stadium as a permanent home for the Los Angeles Dodgers. But the world-famous ballpark didn’t just appear of out thin air. Dodger Stadium sits on what was once known as Chavez Ravine, a largely Mexican American neighborhood whose residents were forcibly removed from the area to make way for the massive construction project.
