How to stream the first presidential debate online tonight
Donald Trump is going to be debating Hillary Clinton tonight on the campus of Long Island’s Hofstra University. Fans of politics and existential dread should note that the event is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. EST and can be viewed through the following platforms.
TV: Just about every network TV and cable news channel will be broadcasting the debate live. But not everyone is 40 or older, so what are some other options?
Online: The debate commission lists the following outlets as planning to broadcast the debate live:
ABC News, Buzzfeed News, CBS News, CNN, C-SPAN, The Daily Caller, Facebook, Fox News, Hulu, Huffington Post, NBC, PBS, Politico, Telemundo, The Wall Street Journal, Twitter, Univision, Yahoo, YouTube
Also Fusion is streaming the debate on its Facebook page! So really forget any of those other names you just read.
That’s a lot of options for watching what will literally be the same thing regardless of where you view it. Take some time today to think about what media company has always been there for you and make the right decision.
Mobile: Snapchat is going to be having a Live Story for each of the debates containing the most relevant clips. Perfect for if you want to watch the debate but not actually “watch” watch it. Most of the web-based streams will work just fine on your phone as well. (Like Fusion’s! On the Facebook page!)
