A number of the correspondences specifically between Clinton and Abedin highlight the markedly synergistic relationship the two women had while working in the State Department.
While most of Clinton’s exchanges with colleagues read a bit…professionally terse, her conversations with Abedin reflect the exact kind of dynamic we all dream of having with our coworkers: Familiar, but respectful. Informative, but not clipped. Relaxed, but still work-appropriate. It’s almost as if they read: “Hey. Let’s get this work done.”
Take, for example, that time that Hillary and Huma teamed up to take on a fax machine. It’s common knowledge that fax machines are the office-demons that plague us all :
Or, when Hillary needed to clarify when and where she would be taping her interview with Lisa Ling for the Oprah Winfrey show. Hillary suggested “the barn.” The interview did not happen in a barn:
