Jimmy Kimmel Tries to Squash Beef With Sean Hannity in America's Dumbest Feud

Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity started an incredibly dumb feud with each other on Twitter last week, and today Kimmel tried to end it.

Today, Kimmel posted a note on Twitter attempting to squash the beef with Hannity, apologizing for a shitty gay joke as well as the joke about Melania Trump’s accent which Hannity took major offense to, which started the whole thing. Kimmel also said that his family has received “vile attacks” against his wife and “wishes for death on my infant son.”

“While I admit I did have fun with our back and forth, after some thought, I realize that the level of vitriol from all sides (mine and me included) does nothing good for anyone and, in fact, is harmful to our country,” Kimmel said, which may or may not overstate the importance of two guys on television to the problem of this country failing its people and the world in so many more substantive ways. “I am hopeful that Sean Hannity will learn from this too and continue his newly-found advocacy for women, immigrants and First Ladies and that he will triumph in his heroic battle against sexual harassment and perversion.”

Hannity hasn’t officially responded, but said on Twitter that he’ll address Kimmel’s comments on his show tomorrow night.

Some will say that the celebs are “at it again.” I say to you: are they ever not at it?
