Joe Biden brutally tears into Donald Trump in scorching DNC speech

Joe Biden used his time at the Democratic National Convention to trash Donald Trump, calling his promises “malarkey” and saying that he had “no clue” about how to be president. His thunderous speech received a rapturous reception.

“His lack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in the phrase: ‘You’re fired!'” Biden said. “He’s trying to tell us he cares about the middle class? Give me a break! That’s a bunch of malarkey!” The crowd erupted in cheers.

“This guy doesn’t have a clue about the middle class,” Biden continued. “Not a clue. Because, folks, when the middle class does well … the rich do very well and the poor have hope. They have a way up. He has no clue about what makes America great. Actually, he has no clue, period.”

Biden started another critical portion of the speech by saying, “let me talk to you about something other politics.”

“This is a complicated and uncertain world we live in,” he continued. “The threats are too great. The times are too uncertain to elect Donald Trump as president of the United States.”

As the crowd began cheering, Biden had to say “now let me finish.”

Biden’s speech wasn’t all a takedown of Trump though.

In a heartbreaking moment, Biden said it was “bittersweet” to be on the stage after the death of his son, Beau Biden, last year. “You got a glimpse at what an incredibly fine young man Beau was,” Biden said. Beau Biden, a major in the Army National Guard and Delaware’s Attorney General, introduced his father in 2008.

He also talked about his relationship with President Obama, saying they are “brothers.”

Biden ended his speech appealing to the American national identity.

“We do not scare easily. We never bow. We never bend. We never break when confronted with crisis!” Biden yelled to the cheering crowd. “We are America, second to none, and we own the finish line. Don’t forget it!”
