Joe Biden's polling better than Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders

Vice President Joe Biden, who has not declared his candidacy, is polling more favorably than any of the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination-seekers.

Forty-nine percent of Americans currently hold a favorable view of the sitting vice president, Gallup reports—the highest his favorability rating has been since 2009.

Joe “Wow! I didn’t even know I was nominated!” Biden polls even better among Democrats: 85% of Americans in his political party view him favorably. In fact, Biden’s numbers have increased over time among all of Gallup’s surveyed groups.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, is viewed more unfavorably than favorably, according to a Morning Consult poll published Monday. The poll found that 44% of those surveyed view the former secretary of state favorably, whereas 51% of those surveyed view her unfavorably.

Bernie Sanders has a lower favorability rating than Clinton, per that same poll. But Morning Consult found that the Vermont senator does poll more favorably (39%) than unfavorably (31%).

Neither Clinton nor Sanders poll as favorably among Democrats as Biden does, either. Last month, Gallup reported that 74% of Democrats view Clinton favorably and only 46% view Sanders favorably.

Do I even have to mention that Biden’s polling more favorably than 2016 hopefuls Martin O’Malley, Lincoln Chafee, and Jim Webb? Fine. Biden’s polling more favorably than 2016 hopefuls Martin O’Malley, Lincoln Chafee, and Jim Webb.

Bad at filling out bios seeks same.
