Meghan McCain's Rant About Climate Change Is Perfect, Loud Nonsense

The View tackled the very important topic of climate change on Wednesday in a segment that featured a good deal of rational conversation, and also Meghan McCain shouting about celebrities who fly on planes.

The iconic morning program was discussing the White House’s dismissal of its own government’s report on climate change, which says—surprise!—that it’s a huge fucking catastrophe. Most of the hosts had things to say along the lines of “It’s concerning when the president says that his government’s terrifying report about a very real problem is a hoax,” but not our Meghan.

Instead, McCain, whose agitation was turned up to 11 from the first second of the segment, spent a lot of time on speeches like this one:

There’s so much hypocrisy on the left with this, I’m sorry. Leonardo DiCaprio had 418 tons of CO2 last year. Every celebrity and person and advocate on the left…you wanna change hearts and minds, stop lecturing Americans!

Yes, it’s true, the biggest issue with climate change is that rich celebrities fly planes. Joy Behar responded, quite sensibly, “Is Leo DiCaprio in office?” (He is not.)

McCain continued ranting. At one point, she shouted to the audience, “Please stop clapping so I can finish.” They were not clapping at anything she had said.
