Michelle Obama just gave a stunningly powerful denunciation of Donald Trump's abuse of women

First Lady Michelle Obama powerfully shut down Donald Trump’s sexism in a Thursday afternoon campaign event for Hillary Clinton, saying the recent spate of allegations against Trump have “shaken me to my core in a way I couldn’t have predicted.”

“Last week, we saw this candidate actually bragging about sexually assaulting women,” Obama said, adding that Trump’s explanation that his vile language was “locker room talk” is “an insult to decent men everywhere.”

“This is not how adults behave, this is not how decent human beings behave, and it’s certainly not how someone who wants to be president of the United States behaves,” she continued. “This wasn’t just locker room talk. This was a powerful individual speaking freely and openly about sexually predatory behavior, and actually joking about kissing and groping women.”

Obama made the issue very personal, saying that hearing Trump’s demeaning, predatory remarks about women recreated “that feeling of terror and violation that too many women have felt” when men in their workplace, public, and personal lives have violated them.
