New 'Daily Show' host Trevor Noah is in hot water over some old offensive tweets

First, Trevor Noah was lauded for being selected as the non-white replacement for Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. Then some Internet sleuths snooped around Twitter and found some not-so-funny tweets the 31-year-old comedian had sent about Jewish people and “fat chicks.”

Granted, Noah has written 8,900 tweets in his time on Twitter, and some of the objectionable tweets in question were sent nearly four years ago. But while comedians often tell offensive jokes with few repercussions, given The Daily Show‘s stature, Noah might have some explaining to do.
