New Zealand Faces 'Giants' in World Cup Qualifier Against Mexico

The crucial World Cup play-off game between Mexico and New Zealand Wednesday afternoon will result in a dream for one country and a nightmare for the other.

“We give the soccer team, the All Whites, a huge amount of support but we know we’re up agaisnt giants,” Leon Grice, the New Zealand Consulate-General in Los Angeles told Leon Krauze on Tuesday night.

The national Mexican soccer team has changed coaches three times in the past six weeks. Their current coach Miguel Herrera has been on the job for just one month compared to the All Whites’ coach Ricki Herbert 8 years with the team.

So if New Zealand has ever had a chance to beat Mexico now is the time.
