Nikki Haley: Hillary Clinton's Fire and Fury Sketch "Ruined the Grammys"

It is Sunday, the Grammys have stretched into their third hour, Patti LuPone is singing a rendition of “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is live-tweeting a seething commentary about Hillary Clinton’s Fire and Fury Grammys sketch. Time, as of 10:28 p.m., is a flat circle.

Three things happened in quick succession: First, Hillary Clinton joined politicos like Cardi B and Snoop Dogg in reading excerpts of Michael Wolff’s salacious tell-all Fire and Fury for a Grammys bit. Second: The Washington Post’s Anne Gearan offered a lighthearted appreciation of the sketch. Third: Nikki Haley jumped in to “disagree.”

It ruined the Grammys, she said. Such! A! Shame!

But Haley was not done. Not yet. Not until we all knew that it’s inappropriate to conflate music and politics.
