Omarosa Welcomes Herself to the #Resistance

As the publicity tour for her new White House tell-all lumbers on, Omarosa Manigault Newman is now framing herself as a member of the “resistance” to the president she used to work for, which is not really how that works, but OK.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal published Monday night, the former Apprentice star said that her book, Unhinged, is part of her own effort to resist the president. She added that she isn’t intimidated by the campaign’s decision to file legal action against her, alleging she violated a confidentiality agreement with the book.

“I’m going to go toe-to-toe because I stand on the truth and I stand on what’s right,” she told the Journal. The paper added that she “portrayed herself…as part of the anti-Trump ‘resistance’ movement.”

Manigault Newman has released multiple recordings of conversations between herself and members of Trump’s inner circle in an effort to steel herself against the counterattack by the White House, which has aimed to cast her as a “disgruntled” employee incensed by her firing. But she wouldn’t tell the Journal whether she had plans to release more tapes to support the claims made in the book.

“I’m going to continue to blow the whistle about the things I saw,” she said, in hopes of saving “the essence of the presidency without the president doing way too much damage to it.”

Yeah, all right.
