Roseanne's Loathsome Tweets Get a Nice Signal Boost From Donald Trump Jr. [UPDATED]

Because the afterglow of a nice, long weekend can’t be allowed to linger for five goddamn minutes, “comedian” Rosanne Barr was hard at work on Tuesday morning tweeting anti-Semitic messages at Chelsea Clinton, which were of course then amplified by Donald Trump Jr. Hell is everywhere!

It started when Clinton, who’s taken to using her Twitter like her own personal Verrit, felt the need to respond to this Memorial Day tweet from the star of ABC’s new, provocative!! Roseanne reboot:

Did you know that that isn’t actually Clinton’s middle name? Did she get the “joke”? We may never know:

But because this is exactly what happens when you engage with internet trolls, Barr used that opening to really go in on the whole SOROS (read: Jew) panic:

This stuff is, of course, not true. But it was good enough for Don Jr., newly single Trump son, to jump into the fray, retweeting both Barr’s reply at Clinton and another pre-dawn message about the specter of SOROS.

Cool, cool, cool. Those tweets also came after Barr called former Obama aide Valerie Jarett, who is black, a cross between the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.”

That tweet was racist enough to lead Barr to actually apologize and claim she was leaving Twitter.

Update, 2:04 pm: In a statement emailed to Splinter, Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, confirmed the network has cancelled Roseanne, the show:

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” Dungey said.
