Rudy Giuliani Now Wants You to Believe That ‘Truth Isn’t Truth’

The gaslighting and nonsensical arguments being put forth by Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, are so laughable that even Chuck Todd can’t keep a straight face on national television.

Appearing Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press, Giuliani and Todd were discussing why Trump still hasn’t met with Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller to answer questions about Russia’s attacks on the 2016 presidential election in the U.S. and potential collusion and obstruction of justice by the president.

“You believe this is on them…that you guys have not delayed the interviewing, delayed the negotiations with Mr. Mueller?” Todd asked.

“Yes, each time by three or four days so we could write a letter in response,” Giuliani replied. “They have taken two to three weeks to get back to us.”

The former mayor of New York then repeated the mantra that Trump won’t testify due to fear of a so-called perjury trap, as if Mueller had the magical power to make Trump lie more than he already does. (According to a report earlier this month by The Washington Post, Trump made 4,229 false or misleading claims in 558 days in office, an average of 7.6 a day.)

“And when you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he’s going to tell the truth and he shouldn’t worry, well that’s so silly, because it’s somebody’s version of the truth. Not the truth,” Giuliani said.

At this point, the NBC host broke out in laughter and pointed to the obvious: “Truth is truth.”

“No, it isn’t truth,” Giuliani shouted. “Truth isn’t truth!”

When Todd interjected that, “This is going to become a bad meme,” Giuliani lost his composure.

“No, no, no,” Giuliani stuttered, “don’t do this to me,” he said, imitating a Chuck Todd facepalm.
