Should DREAMers Get Special Treatment?

Do you think that the undocumented immigrant sitting next to you should deported?

That was the question posted to D.A. King, an Atlanta-based activist in favor of more immigration enforcement, Monday on “AMERICA with Jorge Ramos.”

Juan Escalante, a DREAMer and activist from Florida, sat next to King.

“I have a special position on the DREAM Act and people who are brought here as children,” King said. “I have nothing but sympathy for not just Juan personally but everyone in his position whose parents brought them here illegally especially or people who are here now illegally because of something their parents did or did not do. So from me to Juan, great sympathy and respect.”

ABC’s Cecilia Vega, a guest host on the show, persisted, asking, “But should he be deported?”
