Sochi Day 9: USA Men's Hockey Remains Undefeated, Bode Miller Medals

Sochi is nine hours ahead of the eastern United States—12 hours ahead for the people out west—making it difficult for the average Olympic viewer to catch a lot of the events live. That’s where we come in.

Men’s Ice Hockey: The USA remain undefeated after a strong performance vs. Slovenia. Phil Kessel netted a hat trick in the 5-1 victory while Ryan McDonagh and David Backes added goals of their own. The Americans play next on Wednesday in the quarterfinals, opponent TBD.

Alpine Skiing – Men’s Super G: Good for Bode Miller. After struggling last week, he earned a bronze today in the Men’s Super G. Additionally, fellow American Andrew Weibrecht captured a silver medal to pull the USA into a first place tie with Russia in the medal count.
