The internet is ready to accept Tim Kaine as America's new stepdad after his DNC speech

The Internet has spoken: After eight years of crazy, awesome Uncle Joe Biden as vice president, America may have to get used to ultimate step dad Tim Kaine as his successor.

Accepting his nomination as Hillary Clinton’s running-mate in the 2016 election at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday, the Virginia Senator gave a low-key speech discussing his Jesuit upbringing, his time as a missionary in Central America, where he learned Spanish, and his experience as governor of Virginia. He also did a Donald Trump impression:

Twitter’s response was wide-ranging but mostly positive. Some began recirculating photos of Kaine in his youth.

Others suggested Kaine gave off a high school teacher vibe.

But mostly, we realized there’s a good chance America is gonna have a new stepdad.
