The pencil is more versatile than the sword: Why terrorism can't win
The horrific Charlie Hebdo attack tells us two things: Cartoons are powerful, and the perpetrators of the killing are cowards who are terrified of cartoons. As a cartoonist and as a pacifist, I am depressed and angry about this attack. But there’s some cosmic solace in the fact that a broken pencil is mightier than a broken sword.
