This Fox News host went absolutely bonkers over the 'Hamilton' cast calling out Mike Pence

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro  went on a wild rant over the weekend at the cast of Hamilton, who she said violated “everything that you say that you stand for” by issuing a curtain call statement to Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

I must have missed the part of Hamilton where nobody criticizes anyone and just smiles at each other for three hours.

That was actually one of the milder accusations Pirro, who stressed that she majored in American history, leveled. She also called the statement, delivered by actor Brandon Victor Dixon, “out-and-out reverse racism and teed-up hate.” Uh, ok.

Here’s that statement in its entirety, so you can judge for yourself its hatefulness.

“Vice president-elect, I see you walking out, but I hope you will hear us.There’s nothing to boo here; we’re all sharing a story of love. We welcome you, and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton: An American Musical — we really do. We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. We truly thank you for sharing this show, this wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds and orientations.”

Wow. I’d go ahead and classify this a hate crime right now if we didn’t have an incoming attorney general who thinks hate crimes aren’t a thing.

Pirro said she saw the show, so her claims that the actors should not be allowed to express themselves politically is confusing. Did she miss the part with all the political arguments and debates? You know, the entire second act?

She suggested that the actors had taken the fun out of Hamilton, which is why #BoycottHamilton was trending on Twitter. Let’s take a peak at that hashtag for a moment.

Sounds about right.
