This Latina Republican just straight-up called Donald Trump a racist on live TV

Ana Navarro, a GOP activist/Jeb Bush supporter/”oft-quoted dial-a-zinger,” is spending much of the 2016 election cycle taking down Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on TV.

In June, she “slammed” Trump for suggesting that the judge on the Trump University case, Gonzalo Curiel, couldn’t rule fairly because of his Mexican heritage. In July, she “(tore) into” Trump’s acceptance speech at the RNC for sounding like a “fearmonger” and not a Republican.

Speaking on CNN on Monday, Navarro once again declined to beat around the bush. Speaking with CNN’s Carol Costello and fellow guest and Las Vegas radio host Jesus Marquez, Navarro rejected Trump’s recent attempts to court Hispanic voters with a softened stance on immigration, saying the candidate has done nothing but “burn bridges” and promote a culture of hatred. Marquez took issue with this assertion, calling it ridiculous.

“Oh, I can very much look into the camera and say, ‘Donald Trump is a racist,'” Navarro replied. “You don’t get to make textbook racist remarks for a year and not be a racist. You don’t get to make textbook sexist remarks for a year and not be a misogynist.”

Navarro went on to link Trump’s racism to a recent story of two customers leaving a racist comment to a Latina waitress on a receipt in Virginia.

“That’s the kind of discrimination and bigotry and division that Donald Trump has stoked and promoted,” Navarro said, referring to the receipt.
