Top 5 Apps To Help You Accomplish Your Resolutions This Year
Every year it’s the same thing, “I want to lose weight,” “I want to fall in love,” etc. etc. Well, it shouldn’t have to be so hard to accomplish those little goals you have set up for yourself this year. To keep true to your word, here are 5 apps that will help you with your new year’s resolutions.
1. Losing Weight.
More than half of Americans (54%) say they want to lose weight, and 27% say they are seriously trying to do so.
The following apps could help you burn off those calories and control what you eat. “Lose It” is a free app that lets you keep track of your calorie intake while also tracking your exercise in the same app. It also allows you to scan the barcode of any item and pulls up any information regarding the product as well as the calories. Another app you should consider, even though “Lose It” includes tracking your exercise, you might want to look at the “Nike+Running” App. It gives you GPS Tracking, Audio Feedback on how well you’re doing, plays music, and has a calorie tracker to see how much you are burning while you leave others biting the dust.
2. Finding Love.
For those of us who are single, nothing screams new year’s resolution like new love. Approximately 44% of adult Americans are single. That’s almost half of all Americans.
Tinder is an app, which will use Facebook to determine mutual friends, interests and locations to see who is compatible with you. Another similar app is Sonar, which also connects to your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Foursquare accounts, allowing you to find more individuals that are compatible with you, so you can skip the awkward moments and disappointments.
3. Saving Money.

Lets say this year you really want to accomplish that goal. You want to balance your accounts to save a few extra pennies. Dailycost is the answer to your spending days, well overspending days anyway. It is an expense tracker to organize your daily finances by providing readable charts on your weekly spending and manage your income. The app costs $1.99 to download. SavedPlus is another app that you may use on a daily basis. It saves money every time you spend. SavedPlus connects to your accounts and allows you to set a savings percentage so that when you set it to 10% and make a $100 purchase, $10 will transfer from your checking account to your savings account.
4. Learning Something New.
Learning something exciting was at number 6 for top 10 resolutions for 2014 in a recent study.
When talking about learning something new, how about a new language? Duolingo allows you to do just that. Although they only offer a few languages at the moment, if you are interested in learning a language within the Latin branches or German, Duolingo is offering it for free.
5. Getting Organized and Making Things Easier.
Lastly, don’t know something? Google it! No seriously! Google is a millenial’s #1 pit stop for everything in their daily lives. Google’s daily page views escalate to 7.2. billion and it’s #1 in the global website ranks. The voice search app allows you to search for anything at your closest proximity, find definitions to words you may not know, and even research information on any object by simply snapping a photo of it.
The best part of all the apps mentioned in this article, is that they are all free, some for a limited time. So, start your new year right and accomplish all those resolutions you want by downloading apps that will keep you on the right track.
