Trump can't decide if he likes the protests over his election or not

On Thursday night, tens of thousands of protesters filled the streets in cities across the United States for a second night of raging against Donald Trump’s election–and the bigotry, xenophobia, and racism he represents.

True to form, Donald Trump thought the best way to handle this outbreak of civil unrest would be to tweet. And, even truer to form, he managed to bungle his response. Badly.

Let’s break that down, shall we?

A man who has just pulled off the most improbable electoral upset in modern American history is whining because people across the country exercised their First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly. Oh, and apparently they’re getting paid to do so, or something. Whee!

But have no fear. This is Donald Trump we’re talking about (so, actually, have lots of fear) and a few hours after crying about the unfairness of it all, he was back with a completely different take on the situation.

He loves it! And besides, there weren’t that many protesters, anyway. What’s more, it’s all just a precursor to coming together and being proud!

Come Friday, January 20, Donald Trump will officially take control of the United States’ nuclear arsenal and the official @POTUS Twitter account. God help us.
