Trump, conspicuously not sniffing, demands Clinton take drug test before next debate

During a rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Saturday, Donald Trump speculated that Hillary Clinton had taken some kind of drugs before the last presidential debate, and that they should both take drug tests before the next one.

Comparing himself and Clinton to “athletes,” Trump asked the cheering crowd why drug tests aren’t administered before presidential debates. “I don’t know what’s going on with her,” he said. “But at the beginning of her last debate, she was all pumped up at the beginning, and at the end it was like, ugh, take me down,” not specifying what he’s referring to.

It’s an interesting tact for him to take before this third debate, seeing as how his near-constant sniffling at the last two debates has prompted wide speculation that he had snorted something. Former Vermont governor Howard Dean, a medical doctor, speculated for days after the first debate that Trump was on cocaine before walking back his comments, as did actress and former cocaine addict Carrie Fisher, who also clarified her tweet saying he was “ABSOLUTELY” on cocaine at the first debate.

Before the rally, Trump tweeted that he would address the “massive drug problem” in New Hampshire, which is part of the nationwide opioid crisis. After speculating about Clinton’s drug use, Trump elaborated on how Mexicans are really at fault for America’s opioid crisis (instead of, say, pharmaceutical companies?).

While there is nothing to substantiate his claim of Hillary Clinton using mysterious Debate Steroids, in July, Gawker reported on a rumor that Trump has been taking what is essentially “cheap speed” continuously for the past two years.
