Trump supporter on CNN says Hillary Clinton can't be mad at his language because she likes Beyoncé

Today in “Barely coherent defenses of Donald Trump,” former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey claimed Hillary Clinton is a hypocrite for condemning Trump’s grossly sexual remarks about women because (drumroll please) she likes Beyoncé.

After calling elected Republicans withdrawing support of Trump over the tape of him joking about sexual assault “rats fleeing at the first sign of trouble” on CNN Monday night, McCaughey kicked off the tirade by bringing up explicit language in rap music, which is always a sign of good things to come.

Lemon pointed out while listeners may not approve of that language, “those people are not running for president.”

But the former top lawyer for the state of New York wasn’t done yet.

“Yes, but I wanted to point something out,” she said, consulting actual notes that she’d brought. “And which is that Hillary Clinton expresses that she finds the language on that bus horrific, but in fact she likes language like this. Quote, ‘I came to slay bitch, when he F me good I take his ass to Red Lobster.’”

“Did she say that?” Lemon ventured.

“That happens to be a line from Beyoncé,” McCaughey said triumphantly. “Her favorite performer whom she says she idolizes and would like to imitate. So you know what I’m saying to you? There’s a lot of hypocrisy in Hillary Clinton expressing such horror at the language on the bus.”

While McCaughey later conceded Clinton has never spoken Beyoncé’s ode to Red Lobster out loud, she said Clinton “likes to listen to it!”

The exchange was so corny that it left Lemon and other members of the panel cracking up.
