Trump Warns Evangelicals That Democrats Might Get 'Violent' if They Win The House 

Evangelical voters, who supposedly love “family values,” have stood solidly by Trump through “Grab ‘em by the pussy,” pee tape allegations, payments to Stormy Daniels, and much more. Though evangelical leader Jerry Fallwell Jr. recently spoke about his distain for Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the reasoning he gave shows that his support for the president is stronger than ever. “[Sessions] really is not on the president’s team, never was,” Falwell told Politico.

Today, Trump spoke to a group of his devoted evangelical followers, riling them up about the upcoming midterms. After claiming to have dispensed with a law that forbids churches from endorsing political candidates (the law is still on the books), the president took things up a notch.

“You’re one election away from losing everything that you’ve got,” he told guests at the private meeting, according to NBC. He then described his opponents as “violent people” who would reverse the course of Trump’s political vision “violently.”

“There’s violence,” he added. “When you look at Antifa and you look at some of these groups — these are violent people.” It’s true—the Democrats are a violent bunch. Whom among us hasn’t noticed the black bloc of liberal Congresspeople stalking the Capitol, throwing the occasional Molotov cocktail at Paul Ryan?

Trump most likely doesn’t have to worry about the support of his evangelical fans, who would probably follow him into hell, provided they thought it might help criminalize abortion. In April, evangelical support for Trump was at an all-time high, with 69 percent of evangelical voters responding that they would prefer him over another Republican in 2020. But threats of imaginary violence are always a good guarantee that your voters will come through.
