Trump's Fake News "Awards" Are Here, and They're Just a Chance for Trump to Dunk on CNN

With bated breath, American journalists have waited for President Donald Trump to release his list of the worst media outlets in the country. He finally did so Wednesday night, but the GOP’s official website, which hosted the list, promptly crashed.

A few resourceful folks took a screenshot of what is allegedly on the list, and the results are [drumroll please] not at all surprising. In a post called “The Highly Anticipated 2017 Fake News Awards,” Trump says that, among the American media’s most egregious screw-ups of the last year, are reports that he overfed some fish in Japan and did not receive a handshake from the first lady of Poland.

Out of 10 media outlets and journalists who made the cut, four of them—four!—are from CNN. Other “winners” include the New York Times’ Paul Krugman and ABC News’ Brian Ross, as well as TIME, Newsweek, the Washington Post, and the New York Times at large. No word yet on how they’re celebrating.

The eleventh fakest-news bit of the year goes to literal every media outlet in America who reported on “RUSSIA COLLUSION!” because “THERE IS NO COLLUSION!” So congrats, folks. We are all winners.
