Velasquez Defeats Dos Santos By TKO
UFC 166, considered one of the best MMA events in recent years, had fans stayed on their feet at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas to witness Cain Velasquez’s victory against the Brazilian Junior Dos Santos. This fight closed an epic trilogy in the history of the sport with a 2-1 lead for the Mexican fighter.
Velasquez (13-1) dominated Dos Santos (16-3) from start to finish with a well-designed strategy where fighting and constant pressure made “Cigano” give up fighting on the 5th round and the referee stopped the battle.
Cain made his second defense of the belt in the Heavyweight Class. His next fight indicates it may be against the master of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fabricio Werdum (17-5) next February in New Jersey during the SuperBowl weekend.
