Watch Samantha Bee's brutal takedown of the white people who 'ruined America'
After election results so heinous that they’re like “the democratic equivalent of installing an above-ground pool,” Samantha Bee was unsparing in her post-election analysis Wednesday night of exactly who’s to blame for Donald Trump’s win.
It’s “pretty clear who ruined America: white people,” Bee wound up. “I guess ruining Brooklyn was just a dry run.”
“The Caucasian nation showed up in droves to vote for Trump, so I don’t want to hear a goddamn word about black voter turnout. How many times do we expect black people to build our country for us?” she continued.
White people don’t get the option to distance themselves from the “bad apples,” Bee reasoned. “If Muslims have to take responsibility for every member of their community, so do we.”
The comedian reserved a special take-down for a demographic that turned out in droves to vote for Trump, white women, who, when “faced with the historic choice between a female president and a vial of weaponized testosterone said, ‘I’ll take option B. I just don’t like her!’ Hope you got your stickers, ladies. Way to lean out.”
Bee ended on a positive note, playing a clip from Hillary Clinton’s concession speech when the former secretary of state directly addressed the next generation of women leaders.
“If Ms. Rodham is not in the White House, that’s OK,” Bee said. “One of those girls is going to be. We still have millions of nasty women who aren’t going way and as long as women over 25 are allowed on television, I’ll be here cheering them on.”
