WATCH: Sebelius: “Hold Me Accountable” For Botched Obamacare Site

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius offered an apology on Wednesday for the rocky rollout of President Obama’s signature healthcare law.

Sebelius came under intense questioning from GOP members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where she was testifying on the law under oath.

“Hold me accountable for the debacle,” Sebelius said. “I’m responsible.”

Sebelius is responsible for overseeing the rollout of the law. But the launch has been plagued by glitches on the online insurance exchanges, where individuals are supposed to compare plans and purchase coverage.

“I am as frustrated and angry as anyone with the flawed launch of HealthCare.gov,” Sebelius said. “Let me say directly to these Americans: you deserve better. I apologize.”

The Obama administration has also come under fire amid reports that insurance companies are canceling some individuals’ plans because they don’t meet requirements under the new law.
