What the Hell Is Going On?!

According to some reports, Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son in law and current White House senior aide, is under consideration for the newly vacant Chief of Staff role. According to other reports, he most certainly isn’t. Thanks, fake news media!!!

In HuffPost’s story, they report that Kushner met with Trump Wednesday about the job, according to “a top Republican close to the White House.” Others confirmed his “interest” in the position.

Kushner has been pushing his own candidacy with Trump, citing his work on a criminal justice reform package and a claimed ability to work with Democrats, one person said. “I don’t know why he thinks that, when the Democrats are mainly going to be coming after Trump,” the source said.

The only explanation for this clusterfuck we can imagine is that Jared himself is going around spreading this rumor in hopes that it sticks. But who knows! We sure don’t.

Trump told reporters earlier today that he was interviewing potential candidates and had narrowed the list down to five. Those names are still unknown.

It has also come out that Kushner and first daughter Ivanka Trump were a driving force behind getting Kelly out in the first place, allegedly so the president could replace him with Nick Ayers, Vice President Mike Pence’s top aide, who ended up turning down the job.

Perhaps once the Ayers gambit failed Kushner’s brilliant backup plan was to take the job for himself. If that’s the case, it seems like he is about to get owned yet again. Sucks, dude.
