When white folks riot: Making sense of Keene

While Ferguson epitomized structural racism faced by the black community, many in the right-wing media took it as an opportunity to deny the existence of white privilege.  When drunk sophomores incited an actual riot at a pumpkin festival in Keene, New Hampshire, the wanton destruction was downplayed as mere hijinks. In “Making Sense of Keene,” we explore this double standard.
