‘White Lives Matter’ Mob Attacks Interracial Couple After Tennessee Rally

This is what happens when frustrated racists clamoring about “White Lives Matter” find others just like them and roam the streets in mobs. They feel emboldened. They act out with violence.

A brawl broke out in a suburban Nashville bar following Saturday’s “White Lives Matter” rally in central TN—a rally that organizers eventually had to call off because counterprotesters outnumbered them by about three–to–one.

So, a group of white supremacists decided to (allegedly) verbally and physically assault an interracial couple who was just having dinner.

A distraught bar patron at the Corner Pub in Brentwood, TN, described the incident on Facebook:

I went to Brentwood this evening to escape the rally chaos in Murfreesboro. Guess who showed up at the restaurant I was at. I recognized them as soon as they walked in, and I wondered if anyone else there knew. These guys, maybe 20 of them, dressed in all black, paraded through to an adjoining room, and immediately started harassing a biracial couple there. It broke out into a huge fight with them busting open the face of the white girl who was furious with them for harassing them. I honestly can’t believe this is happening. My heart hurts. I’m shaking and trying not to cry. I try to always stay positive on FB, but I think in light of today’s events, I get a pass…I’m just mortified.

P. S. When I left, the police were still there speaking with the biracial couple. I really wanted to, and wished I would have, gone over to give them a hug. #justloveeachother

The witness also posted a video of the attack:

A second video uploaded to YouTube shows the fight spilling out of the pub and into the street, where a white man in his 30s and dressed in black is seen punching a woman in the face.

Citing Metro Nashville Police, The Tennessean reported that, “A 30-year-old white woman and a 37-year-old African American man were at a table when a group of 20-30 white men and women entered the bar and sat near the couple.” They began harassing the couple and telling the white victim to leave her companion.

The fight broke out after the victim went outside to try to deescalate the situation, the newspaper reported.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 615–74–CRIME.

Brentwood is about 30 miles northwest of Murfreesboro, where the second of two white supremacist rallies was held on Saturday.
